Using an intersectional lens, I explore the psychological impact of intersectional microaggressions on racial, ethnic, sexual, and gender minoritized groups.
When minoritized people experience oppression, coping strategies are used to deal with these experiences. My research assesses maladaptive coping strategies such as substance use or internalization when experiencing microaggressions.
To highlight racial disparities in health and education, I investigate the link between everyday oppression (i.e. microaggressions) and its impact on health and education outcomes, specifically among emerging adults and college students.
